First time I covered the gray my son was four. I’d told my husband I was going to color my hair. When I got home, my son came running and hugged me and exclaimed in relief that it was the same and he hadn’t know what I’d look like with color. It’s still the same with some highlights.

Try it; you might really like it. I went grey during COVID and have no desire to go back. Yes, it sucked until all the highlights/color were gone; but I get compliments on the new look (some from random strangers in the grocery store).

I stopped coloring several years ago when my granddaughter said she loved “the glitter” in my hair!😉

I say be proud of yourself and your age and your accomplishments. You deserve it! You don’t need to apologize for your age.

Don't merely accet these "changes", but rather embrace them. Think of it as evolution.....a new you....the same, but different.

Gray = wisdom highlights!

I thought I was going gray but alas! my hair is totally white. So I have been known to take out that second mortgage and have GRAY highlights put in. Looks nice but once is enough until I get rich. Give your gray a try you just never know what will happen.

I got my first gray hair at 18, I started coloring it at 27. Four years ago I decided to embrace my gray. I had a fabulous stylist who made the transition easier. At 53 my hair is healthy than it’s been in years. It was one of the best decisions I’ve made.

I love my grey—well now it is pretty much white. Been grey since my 40’s. Heredity on my side. We are unique. Don’t fight it. Embrace it

I gave up on contacts years ago when I was going to have to add reading glasses - because you could get bifocal contacts or astigmatic contacts, but not bifocal, astigmatic contacts. I've also gone full gray, but I'm told it's a pretty gray.

Your looks are anything you want them to be.

I stopped highlighting during the pandemic and now I feel free - go for it!! PS - I also wear glasses Be free and happy!!

I decided to try highlights rather than color last visit to the salon. When I picked up my 8 yr old grandson from school that day, he hesitated to walk over to me. Kept giving me wide eyed looks. When he got in the car he said “Grandma you look like a zebra”. So all the way home we discussed why he could not paint his hair .

I highlighted my hair until I was in my 70s.  Then, between the pandemic and a serious illness, I just didn’t get to the hairdresser for several years. And you know what? It was OK. (I was naturally a dirty blonde, so it didn’t seem like such a terrible change as it might for a brunette.)

Stopped coloring my hair during Covid. Finally decided to wear my bifocals. I can see again! 😉

Embrace your natural highlights, my kids used to call them glitter highlights so I just went with it. I am so happy with how my hair looks!

Well at 78 the beautiful natural auburn color has slipped away, and coloring is definitely an option that I have done about every 3 months. It just went up to around $90 so I figure $30/month in savings is needed. But I definitely feel better and look younger so for now it’s worth it.

If my hair was a pretty gray, that’s one thing. My gray is steel wool.. not a good look. I’ll just keep on coloring 😜

I stopped coloring and cutting my hair during Covid. Good decision. I now keep my beautiful curly gray hair at shoulder length and manageable with a growing collection of pretty barrettes and other hair accessories.

I went to my natural gray, which is almost silver, 15 years ago. I have recently added blue streaks, mostly to amaze the grandkids.

If you’re ready to embrace it, see how you look with gray hair. When I saw you in person this past summer, I loved your blonde hair. When my gray comes in, I buy the bottle and spray it until I am ready for my touchup. For me personally, I refuse to go gray, and I love my brownish hair with the highlights in it. A friend of mine who was in her 50s is all gray and it looks horrible and makes her look so much older. I’ve also seen people who look beautiful with it Lisa you are a great person so do what is best for you. I need my glasses for reading and I would never ever wear contacts.

I’m a huge fan of Dunkin, too……my morning starts with an Iced Butter Pecan with 2 extra squirts of Butter Pecan! At home I drink hot coffee. The only thing I do to a regular Kcup of coffee is to fancy it up a bit. Before I press brew on the Keurig, I put a few shakes of cinnamon, cinnamon sugar, Nutmeg and All Spice in my mug. It gives a regular cup of coffee a little extra zing!!

Put DD ground coffee in that percolator every Sunday and read someone's column... it's a good thing

After years of different brands and bean types, Dunkin Donuts medium roast was a hands down winner. K cups weren’t right. Just give me my cup of comfort every morning. ☕️❤️

DD coffee never tastes as good making it at home. I used to buy Columbian coffee at Zabar's in Manhattan but it got too expensive. Starbucks gives me palpitations, most cafffeine of any coffee. My favorite is Trader Joe's medium toast. Anything that store sells is fab. I also recommend Fonte Viennese roast from Seattle for a treat. Its vg but very expensive, 12 oz $18. They serve it at the US Grant Hotel in San Diego.

I’m no help. I’m a coffee addict in that if I need coffee just about any coffee will do, as long as it’s not black. Gotta have a decent milk or milk substitute. My latest is a bit of cafe latte protein shake with good ol’ Maxwell House. But I do love Dunkin, especially with their donuts.

I love Eight o’clock coffee medium roast Colombian whole bean that I grind at home. ☕️☕️☕️

I love Dunkin’ - grew up in MA and raised our kids in CT where there’s one of every corner (and now living on the west coast it’s really really hard) I have a keurig I bought refillable keurig pods and buy Dunkin’ French vanilla ground coffee at my grocery store. So every morning I get my Dunkin’ (& yes, I’m enjoying it right now)

We use Walmart brand French roast dark ..great coffee everyday and iced with whatever is left in carafe. I must admit though that while visiting our son I fell madly in love with his Nespresso...just too expensive for us..I look forward to visiting it again!

Try using that beautiful Alessi espresso maker with regular coffee or put a shot of espresso in your regular cup of coffee!! Experiment - you can do it!!

Espresso coffee maker Bialetti.. use Lavazza Crema e Aroma, or Bustello.

Kona coffee. Only Kona, not a blend. Well worth the postage to get the real thing from the Big Island.
